Requirements:

  • Mandatory if you are under 18 years old.

  • Must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

  • Bring the original document (no scanned copies).


Driving Experience Certification

(For Minors & Hour Requirements)

Certification of Minor Driving Experience (Form HSMV 71143)

Requirements:

  • For minors under 18: 50 total hours of driving practice (including 10 nighttime hours) are required before applying for a Class E driver's license.

  • Must be signed by a parent or supervising adult (for minors).

  • Note for adult beginners: While not a certified hour requirement via this specific form, practice is crucial. Our driving lessons can help you gain the necessary experience.

Proof of Address (For All Applicants)

Certification of Address (Form HSMV 71120)

Requirements:

  • All applicants (minors and adults) need to provide two documents proving their Florida residency.

  • Accepted examples include utility bills, bank statements, lease agreements.

  • This form is used only if you cannot provide two proof of address documents and need a Florida resident to certify your address.
